- The Riverston peak is a part of the Knuckles Conservation Forest which is the first forest reserve in Sri Lanka. Riverston peak is belongs to Matale District of Central Province, Sri Lanka. The Riverston peak is famous among the visitors due to the high speed wind flow at the wind gap (video bellow will give you some idea about the wind speed). The misty mountains, evergreen forest, beautiful streams, waterfalls and biodiversity present in this forest reserve will surely amaze you.
- Thotupola Kanda is the third highest mountain in Sri Lanka and the highest point of which is 2,357m above mean sea level. The mountain belongs to Nuwara Eliya District of Central Province and it is located in the Horton Plains. The name “Thotupola” (in Sinhala) has the meaning of “port (or airport)” and there is a belief that, this name related to the legend Rama-Ravana. According to the legend the king Ravana (Sri Lankan) has used some kind of flying machine and he has landed it in this mountain while kidnaping of Sita (Rama’s wife) to take revenge from Rama.
- Hanthana mountain range is consist several mountains and highest is 3800 ft. The mountain range is lies in the Kandy District of Sri Lanka. This is a famous mountain range among mountain hikers, specially among local university students. Visitors can enjoy beautiful landscapes, natural water streams and cold weather with wind.
